Pat usually paints with fabrics making beautiful quilts for her books, etc—but this time she “painted” a quilt pattern much like a quilt block on a barn for her adirondack! Plus she shared the whole process of how she acheived her design! Way to go Pat! Now all we need is a cowboy to go with that chair! Yeehaw!

Mellow Yellow Painted Floor Decor

Oooh-la-la! I love a painted floor! Especially when it’s yellow. I found this delight at Paisley Wallpaper and flipped when I found out the designer made her own stencil out of foam board. I love DIY decor—and just might barrow this idea to finish off my own painted porch floor to kick it up a notch—but probably not until summer passes as the Florida heat and humidity is mighty vicious this time of year.
