Diary of a Designer: Project Improvement Outdoor Decorating

Sunday, July 25th, 2010

Yesterday was so much fun. I was interviewed on the radio show Project Improvement and got to talk about my new outdoor furniture line.

P.S.
The show host, John, just happened to be a Tennessee boy–from Nashville and I grew up in Chattanooga.

Every day is a good day!

Design My Adirondack blog hop is LIVE!

Today’s post can be seen at Pat Sloan’s blog

Pat usually paints with fabrics making beautiful quilts for her books, etc—but this time she “painted” a quilt pattern much like a quilt block on a barn for her adirondack! Plus she shared the whole process of how she acheived her design! Way to go Pat! Now all we need is a cowboy to go with that chair! Yeehaw!

P.S. Please be sure to visit the hop each Tuesday! You can check the schedule on the previous post.

Mellow Yellow Painted Floor Decor

Oooh-la-la!  I love a painted floor! Especially when it’s yellow. I found this delight at  Paisley Wallpaper and flipped when I found out the designer made her own stencil out of foam board.  I love DIY decor—and just might barrow this idea to finish off my own painted porch floor to kick it up a notch—but probably not until summer passes as the Florida heat and humidity is mighty vicious this time of year.  Want to see how to do this technique— Click here for the how to’s!  Enjoy!
